Horizon Line

Know where you are and where you're going.

Horizon Line is a feedback and personal formation practice for school leaders who want to make meaningful change in their lives.

Honest self-assessment, feedback, and vision.

In the workplace, we can be lucky to receive evaluation from one supervisor, once a year, often in the language of compliance. Horizon Line gives those around us who care about our well-being, happiness, and improvement a safe way to say what they see.

No individual answer can be traced. What comes back is a picture of how leadership actually lands, held beside how a leader believes it lands. The gap between those two is where the work begins.

A formation process for the school year

The picture

A structured self-assessment and pooled feedback from the people around a leader. The result is not a ranking. It is a clearer picture of what is true.

The plan

A leader reads the results with a coach, builds a short Flight Plan, and names commitments that the people around them will be able to notice.

The work

Coaching across the school year works the plan against real situations as they arrive. A reassessment at the end shows movement against the same instrument.

Begin with a conversation.

Horizon Line is founder-run and shaped around the leader, team, and question at hand. Begin with a conversation about what is true now and what needs to change.
